Many decades ago, a new apartment complex was constructed in Sarasota, Florida.
The Timber Chase Apartments have seen many residents come and over the years, but many Sarasota locals have begun to speculate whether or not this complex is haunted.
Rumors of a 1992 murder have circulated within the area.
The Quick Moving Apparition of the Timber Chase Apartments
Updated 2/10/2020 – A few believe that the victim, who was supposedly a young female, still lingers on the premises.
Craig, who dated a woman who used to live at Timber Chase, may not know who haunts the apartment complex, but is more than convinced that something paranormal resides there.
“My relationship ended several years ago, but not before my girlfriend and her son experienced some bizarre things in their apartment,” Craig nodded.
“I can’t tell you how many times she would call me in the middle of the night, begging me to come over because something or someone would walk around their apartment at night.
“When she wasn’t experiencing a physical presence in the apartment, their bedroom doors would open and close while they were sleeping.
She may be my ex, but I believed her every time something happened,” Craig said in earnest.
“You could hear it in her voice that she was absolutely terrified, every single time.”
And did you ever experience anything firsthand?
Craig nodded, looking slightly anxious.
Ghost Continues to Haunt Toddler
“To this day, it’s hard for me to understand who—or what—it was and that scares me as much as the experiences themselves.
It seemed like the entity started targeting my girlfriend’s son in particular.
I stated staying over on a regular basis, because I was very protective of him, despite the fact that he wasn’t my biological son,” Craig said, with a faint smile.
“I felt it was my job to protect him.”
Could you tell us what happened?
“My girlfriend’s son was only four at the time, so it was hard to fully understand what was happening to him each night.
But it seemed that each night around three in the morning, he would wake us up screaming his head off from his bedroom.
“Every time I would run in and ask him what was wrong, he would cry incoherently and point to the ceiling directly above his head.
What do you do about a flipping ceiling you know?” said Craig, clearly frustrated.
“We were at such a loss, but his mother decided perhaps we should set up a camera in his room to fully understand what was happening.
“We first tried video cameras, but the batteries kept dying, so we switched to trap cameras that would capture photographs whenever it detected movement.
Where did you set these trap cameras up?
“In literally every room but the bathroom,” Craig nodded.
“The following day, I was with my girlfriend’s son in the kitchen making lunch, when I heard him start to whimper behind me.
It happened so fast, I could barely register what was happening with my naked eye.
“He was standing against the wall, and this black and white apparition wrapped from one side of him to another in a manner of seconds.
“It turned and hovered over his shoulder, looming over him as if to intimidate him.
My girlfriend and I broke up for personal reasons, but we remain close, and they continue to be haunted by something malignant,” Craig shook his head.
“We are working to move them out of Sarasota altogether.”
